I seem to be spending a lot of time in snowdonia recently and the reason for that is because for one its beautiful and secondly its so much closer to me than the lake District.

Even though its still a 400 mile round trip, I can leave work on a Friday afternoon and be there well before nightfall.

In this weeks video I team up with Owen Clarke and Dave Griff for a hike which over looks Tryfan.

The loose aim was to reach the summit of Pen Yr Ole Wen and wild camp, but due to a very late start because of poor weather and a slight mishap we ended up camping just below the hanging valley which still gave us a beautiful view of Tryfan, Llyn Ogwen and Idwal.
