How to Separate The Laser Cabinet From The Wheelbase - Red & Black Co2 Laser Machine - 60/80W Models

Does the wheelbase detach from the Red & Black Laser machine’s cabinet or is it welded in place?
Over the past few months I have had this question asked many times by people who want to buy a laser machine like this eBay Red & Black 60W or 80W Laser Machine. The entrance to their property is not wide enough to accommodate this size machine, as this machine’s height is approximately 965mm / 38 Inches tall and 865mm / 34 Inches Wide.

The short answer is Yes it can be Separated, on this particular model. However I must put a DISCLAIMER here, that I am only referring to this particular machine, and the manufacturing practices at the time of it’s construction, and newer models may be fixed to the base in another method than shown here, and if this is a major concern to your needs then contact the manufacturer or retailer for more up-to-date information on the model of the machine you intend to purchase.

STEPS OF THE REMOVAL PROCESS.

STEP 1 - You can remove the honeycomb bed to access easier if you prefer, however this is not necessary. I will remove it to make it easier for the video recording. This honeycomb table was secured with four bolts which are easily removed.

STEP 2 - You will need to remove the cover over the belt drive system, this is easily done by removing the screws along the front here and the same at the back.

STEP 3 - Remove the cover and then remove the screws holding the cabinet to the wheelbase

STEP 4 - Have someone help you lift it carefully off the wheel base.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If your Glass Co2 Laser Tube is installed in the machine. Take extra care when moving the machine to avoid irreparable damage to the laser tube.

The Glass Co2 Laser Tube can be damaged by dropping the machine, or by physical jarring, jolts, or vibrations

STEP 5 - Remove the Screws holding the Axis Stepper Drivers, as these protrude into the wheelbase trolley.

STEP 6 - Once all Screws protruding into the trolley base have been removed. Carefully remove the laser machine from the trolley wheelbase.
