Tattoos, once found mostly on the arms and chests of military men, bikers and prison inmates, now are sported by all kinds of people of either sex. Over 20% of adult Americans have a tattoo, and 36% of adults ages 18-25 have at least one. How did the tattoo go from on-the-down-low to mainstream?
