Ludwig van Beethoven – Mondscheinsonate [German classical music]

The famous "Monscheinsonate" (Moonlight Sonata) by German composer Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827), also known as Piano Sonata No. 14 or Sonata quasi una Fantasia. Beethoven completed the work in 1801, and dedicated it the next year to his pupil, the Austrian countess Giulietta Guicciardi.
Performed by German pianist Dieter Zechlin (1926-2012).
The accompanying painting, showing two man looking at the moon, was made by the German artist Caspar David Friedrich (1774-1840).
