Hamish MacCunn – The Land of the Mountain and the Flood [Scottish music]

The Land of the Mountain and the Flood is a concert overture for orchestra, written in 1887 by the Scottish composer and conductor Hamish MacCunn (1868-1916). The name of the overture derives from a poem by the writer Sir Walter Scott (1771-1832).
Performed by the Royal Ballet Sinfonia, led by the British conductor John Wilson.
The accompaying image shows the Old Man of Storr, a large rock on the island of Skye.
