This is a small series of breakouts from a slow-moving and inflating lava flow.

It was flowing over a 30-year-old cinder field that was formed when Pu'u O'o vent first erupted. You can see the vent in the background. Nearly 2 miles away.

You will notice how the hot flow picks up the tiny cinder pieces and carries them along with it.

It's best to visit my blog for information on this series of videos. They are based on 7.5 months of hiking to the lava flows. The videos show some of what I experienced. Lots had to be left out to keep the videos near the 10-minute length.

I shot enough video to do a 4 part mini-series. All 2 hours long.

Not looking to be critiqued. Its a documentary of an area changing for the first time in 30 years.

There are links back to each of the videos in this series.
