Foam Roller Hip Release

The hip flexors are tight on many people and using a foam roller for a hip release is a very restorative way to stretch the hips after a long day. Using a foam roller is one of the best stretches for tight hips because you can relax and let gravity do the work for you.

Incorporating a hip flexor stretch into your routine will help not only to stretch your hips but also to relax your back. For this hip flexor release, you can even use a half foam roller as an option or prop your pelvis on a few pillows or use a yoga block. I am all about using what you have and making it work.

This stretch is a super beneficial stretch to do before any Pilates class as so many people overuse this area when trying to activate the abs.
