FULL INTERVIEW | Exiting Kalamazoo College president says goodbye, reflects on achievements

"It's been the honor of a lifetime, absolutely, " said Jorge Gonzalez, as he settled into a couch in the half-empty living room of Hodge House, the presidential residence that he and his wife, Suzie, have been called home for 10 years on the campus of Kalamazoo College.

Gonzalez, who came to Kalamazoo College in 2016, will retire this month. He spoke to News Channel 3 anchor Andy Dominianni about his proudest achievements.

"The community that we have here; the faculty, students, staff, trustees and Kalamazoo at large is truly unique," Gonzalez said. "The college over the last 10 years has continued to evolve and change to make sure we serve the needs of today's students. Whether it's adding new majors, whether it's adapting to the changing demographics of the students and making sure that the doors of K are open to students from all backgrounds."
