AMAZING AMERICA 250 | How did Michigan help the nation during WWII?

When the U.S. needed help defeating the Axis Powers, Detroit and the state of Michigan stepped up, providing 30% of the Countries' war materials during World War II.

At the Detroit Historical Museum they have put together an exhibit called the Arsenal of Democracy showing how Michigan helped win World War II.

In the early 1900's Michigan was producing 60% of the worlds automobile supply.

On December 7th, 1941 Pearl Harbor was attacked plunging America into World War Two but America was underprepared.
