IFS Parts Check In Meditation

Hi all, I'm Heidi Lindeman, LPCC. I have a private practice Self Grounded Therapy where I provide individual therapy for people who live with suicidal thoughts, anxiety, depression and/or complex trauma.

Grab a pen and paper for this meditation. I will guide you into your internal space (your body) to notice sensations, feelings and thoughts. This is how you start to get to know different parts of yourself. A parts check in allows you to take notice of what is happening inside of you. This is a starting place to identify parts of yourself as done in IFS (Internal Family Systems). This increases your awareness about what is happening inside of you. When you increase your self awareness you have more capacity to improve your mental health well-being.
