Big Wave Surfing in Honokeana Cove #Little Makaha #Hole in the head

On January 12, 2023 big swells continued on the north shore of Maui with waves of 35 to 50 feet. Waves continued to wrap around the west side of Maui, creating big waves in Napili Bay and Honokeana Cove. This video shows expert surfers catching the large waves out on Little Makaha and the dangerous break along the shore, called hole in the head. Note the that lifeguards were patrolling with a Ski Doo but didn’t have any customers in Honokeana Cove.
