Gin Raisins for Arthritic Knees

Gin Raisins have been used for decades for treatment of arthritis. Golden raisins are placed in a glass bowl and submerged in a high-quality gin for seven days. They are then stored in a glass jar and kept refrigerated. Each day 9 to 14 raisins are taken. An organic chemical reaction occurs between the raisins and the gin producing a natural anti-inflammatory mixture that contains no alcohol. This preparation has no side effects and I have found it to be particularly helpful in people who have arthritis in the medium range, particularly in their knees. The active ingredients are unknown, but are likely the terpenes in the juniper berries used in the distillation of the gin and the sulfur used to cure the raisins. This is a very nice option for patients who have a sensitive G.I. tract and are unable to take anti-inflammatory medication. A 16 ounce bag of golden raisins prepared with quality gin lasts for about three months. Don’t be afraid to give it a try, and if after the first batch, you can decide whether or not you want to continue with the treatment. Good luck, and I hope this arthritis remedy works as well for you as it has for me.
