Poisonous Plants Identification - Pt. 1
Hey guys in the beginning of the series of poisonous plants we talk about three different plants and their identification. Poison Ivy, Virginia Creeper, and Pokeweed are very commonly found plants in most of the United States and each one is toxic in a different way. We all have heard of the notorious Poison Ivy and the rashes that it causes, but we take a good look at this plant, it's identification features and it's two common types and a plant that gets confused with it too. We talk a bit about prevention of the rash and what chemicals cause it.
Virginia Creeper is a plant that gets confused with poison Ivy and it's berries are often confused with Wild Grapes as they can often be intertwined. However this is another toxic plant as well for any that make the mistake of eating the berries. Lastly we talk about Pokeweed and their duality of being edible and deadly poisonous, depending on which time of year and what part you gather. Whether you are a beginner forager or advanced knowing what plants are poisonous is always a plus for safety.
