Coleonema pulchrum Sunset Gold Golden Breath of Heaven

A 'slap you in your face' vibrancy! Coleonema pulchrum 'Sunset Gold' lives up to it's name with a show stopping golden foliage. If you are looking for color contrast in your garden, this will do it! Use the Sunset Gold Breath of Heaven next to other plants with darker color foliage for an amazing focal point. Coleonema also has an amazing scent! This is for those folks in the warmer climates from USDA zones 8-11. However I have also seen it used in zone 7 as well. Coleonema Sunset Gold is also somewhat deer resistant and also tolerates coast conditions. Its very easy to grow with little maintenance and can go with many different landscape styles. It's most often seen in more 'loose' designs however.

Sunset Gold will get to about 2 feet tall by about 4 feet wide. The foliage is evergreen and typically likes full sun to light shade. It requires moderate water, flowers in Winter/Spring, and is native to South Africa.

It can be used on slopes, as a bordering or foreground plant, and even in large pots. It does prefer nutrient rich, well drained soils.
