Flying QATAR AIRWAYS to Miami - ECONOMY CLASS REVIEW | Kuwait to Miami

After a 12-day trip that took me through the country of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh, followed by a 48-hour layover in Kuwait City, Kuwait, it was finally time for me to head back home to Miami. Come along with me as I fly Qatar Airways and give my Economy Class review on my way from Kuwait to Miami!

My travel day began at 1 a.m. in Kuwait City. After exploring Souk Al Mubarakiya just hours earlier, it was time for me to make my way to the airport. My boy Yousef and I crossed the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Causeway, which is the longest bridge in Kuwait and one of the longest in the world, to get there. It’s 48.5-kilometers long and cost $3 billion to build. It will link Kuwait City with the Silk City, which will be built across the Bay of Kuwait.

We had some trouble getting onto the causeway, but we eventually found our way after about an hour. We passed the port. Taking the causeway cuts the travel time to the airport from 90 minutes to just 30. I could see the Kuwait City skyline lit up as we drove. It’s such an epic bridge. At one point, I got out to look out at the Bay of Kuwait.

We made it to North Kuwait. At the bridge’s midway point is a tall structure that has multi-colored lights shining on it at night. We arrived at the airport and headed to Terminal 5, which is for international flights.

I said good-bye to Yousef, checked in, and went through security, and walked around for a bit. I saw places where you can eat and eventually made it to my gate. This airport only has 26 gates, so it’s really small. My 1-hour flight to Doha, Qatar would leave at 5 a.m., and then after two hours, I’d head from Doha to Miami.

I slept the entire way to Doha. I was destroyed! I met some guys from Kenya and then saw a random dinosaur display in the airport. I saw the iconic teddy bear in the airport and made it to gate C5. When you go through security here, it’s really intense. You have to take everything out, but it’s super legit. I had a 16-hour flight ahead of me!

We boarded a little late. I got an entire row to myself. I couldn’t wait to have some wine. I hadn’t had any alcohol in 3 days because Kuwait is a dry state. I was looking forward to eating. Qatar Airways has the best Economy Class in the world!

For brunch, I ordered the Jeera aloo with vegetable tikki, which also comes with a grilled paratha. They also had lots of beverages, but I wanted to just have some red wine. The food was really good! Qatar Airways always does really good Indian food!

I slept about 10 hours and got some chicken biryani for dinner. I’d had it on my flight to Armenia and was happy to have it again. I also had a cold salad, which was phenomenal. It contained couscous, cucumber, and onions. I loved it!

After a 16-hour flight, we finally landed back in Miami in 5:30 in the afternoon. This is the fastest way to travel halfway around the world from Miami!
