(EP34) Meeting the Manatees at Blue Spring State Park, FL

Today, we're headed to Blue Spring State Park (https://www.floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/blue-spring-state-park) with Norelle's uncle and cousin.

We first check out an armadillo, who's just chilling in the park when we arrive, then we go along the boardwalks around the spring to see hundreds of manatees! They come into Blue Spring and other areas around the Florida coast during the winter, since their bodies require a warmer temperature and the springs provide this.

Norelle's uncle accidentally drops his cane, and a kid is happy to retrieve it - he does so without touching or disturbing the huge manatee that's relaxing right near the banks of the St. John's River.

These creatures are beautiful, but unfortunately, not one of them was without propeller scars on their backs. PLEASE, if you're boating near where manatees are or may be, go slow and be very careful.
