The Arnside Tidal Bore 19 Sept 2020

Arnside was crowded with holiday makers taking advantage of the good weather. Some people had come to see the tidal bore, others were unaware it was going to appear and had never seen a bore before. The bore worked its way in front of Grange-over-Sands before swinging round Blackstone Point, then on to Arnside. There were plenty of folk following the wave in kayaks and one guy on a stand-up paddle board. The bore was a decent size but the tide behind it seemed to come in rather slowly compared to more typical tides at Arnside.
A passing train probably gave observant passengers an amazing view of the bore.
