Lets Drop Some Hickorys Can You Dig It? 580B Case

Today we drop a couple hickory trees that were too close to my daughters garage to be merely cut down with no forethought. They are leaning towards the NW corner of her garage and poised to perfectly remove her gutters with the slightest miscalculation. So my son uses the Case 580B to dig around the base of the stumps and I pull the trees over with her half ton Chevy. Timing is everything because once the tree gets going downward gravity is king...UNLESS....you have mechanical means to affect the trees decent. Now mind you professionals wouldn't need to bother with anything concerning these few trees but one thing to remember is there is no claim of professionalism anywhere start to finish in today's video. We do what we gotta do to get the job done in a safe manner endangering nothing nor no one in the process. Oh now I'm not saying we haven't smashed an innocent bystander a time or two in the past...but heck, they shouldn't have been watching youtube videos on their cell phone. Actually that was all made up. I was just seeing if you were paying attention !! (-;
We concentrate today on brush removal from the first two trees and staging the firewood off to the side, pole wood and all. Two trips for brush today and tomorrow will be the third and more dangerous tree to be removed. I will get it on film but it will probably raise a few eyebrows because of the way we have to rig that one. But I won't spill the beans here...you are gonna hafta tune in to yet another exciting chainsaw massacre to get to see that one !! #outdoors, #wood, #case
