E Z GO GOLF CART: How About Lets Troubleshoot It

As always, this is not really a "How To" video...its a "How I Do It" video. All the work performed in the video is by an untrained non-professional that recommends viewers of this hack to have the work done by actual professionals or by a bona-fide golf cart repair shop. In rare cases, maybe by a neighbor that doesn't mind doing things he's never done before. But in any case this is not intended to be an instructional video at all....It's merely an illustration of what was done to get the off-road EV (LOL) back on the green again.
All disclaimers aside....you gotta remember any kind of electricity or electrical circuits have the potential to harm the unsuspecting individual in one way or another. DC voltage is no exception. With this particular set of 6 volt deep cycle batteries you will notice that they are the type that require topping off the wet cells from time to time. The cells are to be kept at 1/8'' above the top of the internal plate with electrolyte filled water. As the water evaporates from time to time, the heavier electrolytes remain in the battery and excessive use of the batteries in low liquid condition will shorten their life expectancy. If the batteries are over charged, they can emit gasses from the cells that can be explosive if subjected to a reverse polarity condition by a charger or another battery....care should ALWAYS be taken to ensure that never happens. An exploding battery can discharge battery acid into the face of the unsuspecting person, severely burning their eyes and skin and in severe cases cause blindness. Don't be that guy....pay a pro.
