SO MUCH to EAT in Cartagena, Colombia!

Cartagena, Colombia has some incredible food that we set out to eat during our stay. We wasted no time trying many of the tasty bites all over the city.

Our first stop was some refreshing coffee at Epoca Cafe. Colombia is known for its rich coffee-growing history, so we indulged in iced versions of the delicious treat. What a great way to start the day!

We could not pass up the cheese bread we were eyeing throughout our stay in Cartagena from the bakery El Pan de Queso. We got some incredible cheese bread, and at under fifty cents a piece, you should load up on as many as you can eat!

We next tried some of the renowned street foods of Cartagena. We next tried the fried huevos arepas, a crunchy, savory treat that will fill you up! We also got some limeade–a refreshing treat in the heat of Cartagena!

We next had to indulge our sweet tooth by trying out some treats along Portal De Los Dulces, a whole street dedicated to selling candies and other tasty confections. We enjoyed the varieties of treats, a highlight was the shredded coconut candies.

We next sought out some ceviche. While ceviche is said to originate from Peru, Colombia has its own version, and being a coastal city, fresh fish is a must try while in Cartagena. We enjoyed ours with a Club Colombia beer, which was a refreshing meal all around!

Our last street treat was an empanada, a must try while in Colombia. These tasty bread pockets will fill you up for your night out. We hope to come back to Cartagena in the future and enjoy some favorites from this trip, as well as some we have missed.
