In 1992, during F1 qualifying in Belgium, Érik Comas crashed hard at high speed. His car's engine kept running at full throttle - a serious fire risk.
Ayrton Senna, arriving seconds later, stopped mid-session, ran across the track, and cut off the engine himself. There were no marshals on scene yet.
Senna and Comas weren’t friends. It was a split-second decision to help someone in danger.
Comas later said: "He was the only one who stopped. He saved my life".
It became one of the most genuine and selfless moments in F1 history.
