Is this how you recover after a race?
It’s not uncommon to see injuries happen after long races. There are numerous factors that go into this, but one is running sooner than a person’s body is ready for.
When I give post-race plans, after some rest and easy active recovery, the focus is on mobility and light form drills to make sure someone feels good and is moving well before they start running again.
It’s so important to listen to your body at this time and not start running just because you have some thoughts telling you that you can’t lose fitness.
