North Park Improvements and Extension Makeover Before And After

In our design improvements, we began with an existing house spanning approximately 1147 sq ft, featuring 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Our aim was to enhance both the functionality and aesthetics of the space.

To achieve this, we extended the kitchen and living room area by 279 sq ft, providing more room for everyday activities and gatherings. Simultaneously, we reconfigured the layout of the existing bedrooms and bathrooms to optimize space utilization throughout the home.

One significant change was the removal of the existing pergola outside, which had been obstructing natural light from entering the interior spaces. This adjustment not only brightened the atmosphere but also opened up possibilities for additional design enhancements.

Furthermore, we elevated the ceilings in both the living room and kitchen areas. With the original flat ceilings, we had the opportunity to introduce a more contemporary aesthetic by incorporating a sloped roof design. This modern touch not only adds visual interest but also enhances the sense of spaciousness within the common areas.

In particular, we implemented a 10 ft top plate for the common area, contributing to a feeling of openness and grandeur. This elevated ceiling design not only maximizes vertical space but also creates a welcoming ambiance for residents and visitors alike.

Overall, these design improvements effectively blend functionality with modern aesthetics, transforming the existing house into a more spacious, light-filled, and visually striking home.
