Sultan Bayezid Sani History in urdu hindi - Ottoman Empire Bayezid Sani -(Chapter No-9) Talwar e HaQ

Bayezid II (Ottoman Turkish: بايزيد صانى Bāyezīd-i sānī, Turkish: II. Bayezid or II. Beyazıt) (Birth: 3 December 1447 - Died: 26 May 1512) was the eighth ruler of the Ottoman Empire, who died after his father Muhammad Fatih. Then sat on the throne. He ruled from 1481 to 1512.

Enthronement
At the time of the death of Sultan Muhammad Fatih, Bayezid II was the governor of the province of Asia Minor, while his second son, Jamshid, was in charge of the governorship of Crimea. As Muhammad the Conqueror had not nominated anyone as a successor, the powerful circles of the palace began to scramble to appoint an emperor of their choice. The Prime Minister Muhammad Pasha was a supporter of Jamshed, so he kept the news of Muhammad Fatih's death from Bayezid, but in the meantime, there was a commotion in the city and Yeni Chari killed Muhammad Pasha as soon as he came to know about the conspiracy plan. After appointing Ishaq Pasha as the new prime minister, Bayezid's supporters easily won the support of the Janissaries and declared Bayezid as Sultan. On hearing the news of his father's death, Bayezid reached Constantinople from Amasya, where upon arrival, the Janissaries demanded an increase in salaries and rewards, which he was placed on the throne in 1481 after a promise to accept. Bayezid rewarded the Janissaries with rewards and honors, which caused a bad custom in the Ottoman Empire, which continued for the next three hundred years (until the end of the Janissaries) and the Janissaries' army continued to grow stronger. On the accession of each sultan, he would demand an increase in rewards and salaries and would even threaten to kill him if not granted. By accepting their demand, Bayezid showed from the beginning that he was not a strong and fearsome sultan like his father.

Rebellion
After ascending the throne, Bayezid first faced the rebellion of his brother Jamshed because Jamshed said that since his father had not nominated anyone as his successor, it was not Bayezid's right to rule the kingdom alone. Therefore, Jamshid proposed his government to Bayezid on the Asian conquests and on the European conquests, which was rejected by Bayezid, on which Jamshid raised a revolt. Because Jamshid knew that Bayezid would definitely follow the blood law of "murdering brothers" which Muhammad Fatih had made a part of the constitution of the empire and he would not deviate from it even if he accepted obedience. Despite Bayezid's refusal to divide the kingdom, Jamshid offered to settle in Bait al-Maqdis with his family and a share of the Crimean revenues, which Jamshid refused, and as a result, war broke out between the two in 1481. Due to treachery, Jamshed was defeated in the war and fled to Egypt, where the Mamluk Sultan treated him with respect and honor. The Sultan not only gave him shelter but also gave him military and financial aid, after which Jamshed invaded the Ottoman Empire from the southwestern part of Asia Minor and in 1482 the two brothers faced each other once again. But due to the non-cooperation of the chieftains of Asia Minor, he had to face defeat once again and this time he was ashamed to go to Egypt after being defeated and Jamshid this time contacted the Christians and asked for permission to enter Rhodes and a According to the agreement, he reached Rhodes, where the Christian ruler made an agreement with him on the one hand that he would help him to get the right against Bayezid and on the other hand, he wrote to Bayezid that he would pay 45 thousand annually for the detention of Jamshid. Dukat was to be given, to which Bayezid agreed, and thus Jamshid was apparently sheltered and in reality imprisoned. The willingness of D'Aubson, the ruler of Rhodes, can also be estimated from the fact that, along with collecting money from Bayezid, he also wrote to Jamshid's mother in Egypt that if she continues to send one and a half million annually, then Jamshid will live otherwise. will be killed. Thus the "detained" prince was transported to Nice, France and later to various places. D'Aubsson did not want to lose the "golden bird" while the European powers wanted to use it against Bayezid to weaken the Ottoman Empire. Eventually King Charles V of France captured Jamshed and sent him to Rome as a bailiff. Where he was transferred to the detention of Pope Innocent VII. Bayezid used to send 40,000 ducats annually to the Pope for the supervision of Jamshed. After the death of the Pope, Rome wanted to make a deal to kill the prince for 300,000 ducats, but the matter had not progressed yet when France invaded Italy and occupied it, and the Pope paid 40,000 ducats. Also lost. Finally, at the age of 36, he was poisoned to death through a conspiracy and thus Jamshed died after 13 years of imprisonment and detention. Bayazid sent for his body and buried it in Barusa.
