Usman Khan's domain bordered with the Byzantine Empire of Constantinople. It was the same Byzantine government that was known as the Roman Empire during the time of the Arabs, which was made a vassal by the Seljuqs during the time of Alp Arslan and Malik Shah. It was huge and powerful in comparison. The Byzantine forts continued to attack Uthman's estate, which led to a fight between Uthman Khan and the Byzantine government. Uthman showed great bravery and prowess in these battles and conquered many territories, including the famous city of Barusa. Uthman died after the victory of Barusa.

Ertugrul Ghazi wanted to make his son Usman mature and perfect in every aspect, so he entrusted great warriors like Turgut Alp, Abdul Rahman Ghazi, Aqcha Quja and Kunur Alp for his physical training and requested Sheikh Adibali for spiritual training. So Adibali played the role of mentor of Osman. Osman was a very brave and wise ruler. He used to do justice to his subjects. His life was simple and he never amassed wealth. The booty was distributed among the soldiers after taking out the share of the orphans and the poor. He was generous, kind-hearted and hospitable, and it is because of these qualities that the Turks still take his name with respect. After that, it became a custom that when a king sat on the throne, the sword of Uthman was tied to his waist and it was prayed that God would create in him the same qualities as Uthman.

Osman's capital was his city, but after the conquest of Barusa, it was declared the capital.

Uthman wanted to wear this ring and his eyes were opened.

This dream of Uthman was considered very good and the later people interpreted it as the 4 rivers were the Tigris, the Euphrates, the Nile and the Danube and the 4 mountains were Mount Toor, Mount Balkan, Mount Qaf and Mount Atlas. Later, during the time of Osman's descendants, the dream was actually a prophecy about the expansion of the Ottoman Empire, as the empire expanded to these rivers and mountains. The city means the city of Constantinople, which Osman could not conquer, but was conquered later.

After Usman, there were great kings among his descendants who made his dream come true. In the history of Islam, no family ruled for as long as the rule of the Uthmans, and no other dynasty produced rulers equal to the Uthmans.
