The Precision Trim Editor
The Precision Trim Editor is an enhanced trimming mode in the Edit Page viewer. It provides a large, detailed display of frame changes on both sides of a cut, allowing for meticulous adjustments.
Accessing the Precision Trim Editor
To open the editor, double-click any edit point between two clips in the timeline, or go to the top menu and choose Trim - Trim Editor.

How to Trim Edits in the Timeline Viewer:

When you open the Precision Trim Editor, the interface transforms into a graphical A/B roll display showing two distinct filmstrips:

• Top Filmstrip: The outgoing clip (Clip A).
• Bottom Filmstrip: The incoming clip (Clip B).
This dual-display allows you to independently or simultaneously adjust both sides of the edit point.

Trimming Actions

Once the editor is open, you can perform the following actions:

• Trim the Out Point: Click and drag the handle on the left side of the top filmstrip to adjust where the outgoing clip ends.
• Trim the In Point: Click and drag the handle on the right side of the bottom filmstrip to adjust where the incoming clip begins.
• Roll the Edit: Click and drag the white handle located between the top and bottom filmstrips. This rolls the edit point, adjusting both the incoming and outgoing clips simultaneously without changing the overall duration of the timeline.

💡 Tip: The white numbers overlaid on the frames display the exact number of frames being added or subtracted. For precise control, you can also use the frame-by-frame adjustment buttons located on the left and right sides of the Viewer toolbar transport controls.

Key Operational Notes
• Mode Behavior: The Precision Trim Editor behaves differently depending on your active tool mode. If you are in Trim Edit Mode, your timeline will ripple to fill or create space. If you are in Selection Mode, it will overwrite or leave gaps depending on your adjustments.
• Exiting the Editor: To close the Precision Trim Editor and return to the standard timeline view, click the "X" in the top-left corner of the viewer.
