Quinoa Salad | Oil-free, Vegan | How to Cook Perfect Quinoa
This oil-free quinoa salad with avocado, mango, pomegranate and radish is so colorful and perfect for weight-loss. In this video, I show you step-by-step how to cook quinoa to perfection. Later, we turn this light & fluffy quinoa into quinoa salad ring by using a donut cutter. It is so pleasing to the eyes and extraordinarily delicious!
Quinoa is one of the few plant sources with complete protein. This means that it contains all of the nine essential amino acids our body needs. Being naturally gluten-free, it has significant health benefits including high fiber and minerals. Fiber helps to prevent constipation, aids in maintaining healthy body weight by making you feel fuller longer, thus less likely to overeat.
How to cook quinoa to perfection:
1. Rinse your quinoa properly to remove its natural coating (saponin) which makes it taste bitter
2. Ratio of Quinoa : Liquid = 1:2
3. After quinoa has come to a boil, simmer it *uncovered* for 15-20 minutes
4. When all liquid has been absorbed, remove pot from heat & cover to steam for 5 minutes.

1 cup tri-color quinoa, rinsed
2 cups dashi or vegetable broth or water

Radish, cut into thin slices
Parsley or dill, chopped
