British Soldiers in Rhode Island, 1776-79 -A Lecture by Don Hagist- Part 2: Nationalities

The first part of this lecture series talked about the British occupation of Rhode Island, and some of the engagements that took place around the Narragansett Bay during this period. That first part can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuQJ7XH_qkU&t=115s

Now we start to get into the real meat and potatoes of who these soldiers actually were. The British Army during the American Revolution is often referred to as "the English Army." In today's installment, Don explains why this label is misleading.

Enjoy!
