A Very Farby Portrayal of The Concord Fight
Yesterday, the social media team over at Minute Man National Historical Park made a Facebook post showing two different paintings depicting the battle at Old North Bridge on April 19th, 1775 - one made in 1775, and the other made in 1975, 200 years after the fact - inviting the audience to play a little game of "spot the difference." As you might imagine, there are quite a number of problems with the 1975 painting. So I decided to go through and point out as many of them as I could.
