Spanish Speaker Romance Language Challenge: Portuguese, Italian and Catalan
In this video we explore the similarities between Spanish and Portuguese, Catalan and Italian. All of these romance language are not the same language, but the share a lot. Today we will perform an informal challenge looking into the similarities and differences between Spanish and these languages. We will first look at how a Spanish speaker can understand the spoken versions of Italian, Portuguese and Catalan. We will give them a ranking. Then we will look at the same languages but in the context of written language.
