Similarities Between Spanish and Italian
Italian and Spanish are both Indo-European Romance languages that share a lot in common. The Spanish language originated in the Castile region of Spain and today it is considered the world's second-most spoken native language. Italian is an official language in Italy, Switzerland, San Marino, Vatican City and western Istria (in Slovenia and Croatia). It is also widely spoken in Albania, Malta and Monaco. Romanian is spoken primarily in Romania and Moldova and is one of the official languages of the European Union. Spanish is the official language of Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Equatorial Guinea, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Spain, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
