For years I worked hard as a project manager, getting positive feedback from my managers and doing everything that was asked of me. I was successful in my role but couldn't understand why I wasn't getting the pay raises or promotions I wanted. It wasn't until years later that I learned a valuable secret, one that prompted me to create my own strategy to achieve my goals.

In fact, this strategy propelled me to back to back success, earning a promotion with 25% salary increase at one organization and a promotion with a 50% salary increase in another organization. In both scenarios I entered the organization as a project manager.
