If you are going through a layoff, I feel for you!
I have been there several times and it can be scary.
In this video I walk you through my advice for what to do in the days or weeks following the layoff.
1) File unemployment
2) Take care of insurance needs that may have been affected
3) Update LinkedIn profile
4) Ask friends and colleagues for LinkedIn Recommendations
5) Start connecting with people on LinkedIn and networking in other areas of your life
6) Update your resume, using your LinkedIn profile as a blueprint
7) Follow resume experts on LinkedIn to help you through the process
8) Set up job alerts once you have nailed down what type of role you want
9) If needed, think about how you might create a side hustle or alternate income sources
