Carving a 20 Year Old Wooden Spoon... Into a Necklace Pendant!

I've noticed quite a few "how to carve a wooden spoon" videos out there, and I thought "why not carve a wooden spoon... into something else??" So, this is my spoon carving. With a twist. Quite literally!

I started out tracing around this 20 year old wooden spoon for sizing, then I sketched out a few different designs within that shape. I was going for an abstract design, with nothing in particular in mind. As it turns out, it kinda resembles an abstract leaf. To me at least.

This was a first for me, as I've never really carved a pendant before. I've done some pendant sculptures using poly clay before, but I've never done a carved wood pendant.
