Testing NOS Astron .02uF/600V Caps for Leakage - And More!

The sad fact is I may have to start slowly replacing some of my cherished Astron caps in the old Holy Grail Bassman. I bought 6 NOS caps hoping I could find one or two good ones with no such luck.

I came up with a fairly quick method of testing caps for leakage which I show in the video.

I am now on another huge capacitor search to find the best caps available for old Holy including NOS or New Production. I know the NOS Astron PIO caps seem to last forever and I may put the two I tested in this video into this Bassman if the Astrons are found leaking.

Either way, I need to be sure I maintain at least and hopefully improve on her tone. More to come later.

Beware of shady eBay sellers. I suspected this one but he stated that he had a cap analyzer but he really didn't check any of these. If he had, he wouldn't have sold them.
