Harvest Failure, No Fodder, No Adjistment, No Market for Sheep or Cattle, No Mining Jobs Off-Farm, No Tourists paying to visit because the World is broke...; meanwhile, in the Towns & Cities, everybody's getting Redundancy Notices, the roads are being swallowed up by the Potholes & all the 60 to 80 year-old bridges are being condemned, while the Poles & Wires of the Electric Grid are ready for replacement...
And, the politicians want to pretend that that by cutting Education, Health, & Social Security Spending while rolling back Human, Civil, & Worker's Rights & repealing all Environmental Protection Regulations & Legislation...; they're magically going to "Create More Jobs & Grow the Economy into greater prosperity..!"...
Well, apparently there's a lot of People who are right now frantically whistling in the dark, to keep the music going, while they desperately & hopelessly play Deckchairs On The Titanic...
But, as I said on the spur of the moment, while ranting ; There's an Ethnic Cleansing going on, out there in Redneckland...
The people who believed that "Arbeit Macht Frei" are going extinct, and it's becoming clear that some kinds of Work are not worth doing because the overall Project to knowingly damage the Biosphere while chasing diminishing & decreasing returns was always a silly Fool's Errand, from the very beginning...
And, shiny shiny Bullshit simply will not take off & fly over the Fenceposts, not in the long run, because Kosmic Scoreboard Effect always wins in the end...
Which is, precisely, why the Aborigines resisted being Colonised, in the first place...; Governor Arthur Phillip was speared, Captain Cook was beaten to death before he could get back here to be speared, & the Tasmanian Aborigines killed at least 278 Invaders..., and overall, according to Professor Henry Reynolds ("The Forgotten War"), as many as 60,000 Aborigines were killed during the Conquest of Australia...
They died, Defending Australia, & the actual sustainable Australian Way Of Life ...
One wonders how long it'll take before Australia reconstructs an Ecology which will again support Free-Range Humans who only have to work 2 Hours per person per day to secure all their Food, Shelter & Clothing, while eating 368 different Species of Plants & Animals in an average year...; the way it used to be, before 1788..?
Kevin Rudd & Paul Keating, between them, could only be fairly said to have barely begun to apologise for what has been destroyed, in the collective effort to pretend that Australia is an integral part of Europe...
