United States carries out aid into Gaza amid humanitarian crisis

An Israeli strike has hit the main entrance of a hospital in Rafah killing eleven people, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.

The ministry says more than 30,000 people have been killed in Israeli attacks on the region since October 7.

The United States Military has carried out its first airdrop of humanitarian aid into Gaza, with US President Joe Biden saying more needs to be done to ease the crisis within the enclave.

Aid agencies say the United States intervention isn’t enough adding that a quarter of Gazans are on the brink of famine.

Three US aircraft dropped 38,000 meals into Gaza.

“Any military aid is welcome because the situation is so bad, but airdrops are inefficient, insufficient, wasteful, perpetually dangerous and they’re only really a last result when road or sea delivery is impossible,” said Amnesty International Senior Crisis Researcher Donatella Rovera.
