‘I will be a voice for the people of Dunkley’: Jodie Belyea speaks after by-election win

Member-elect for Dunkley Jodie Belyea says she is “ready” to roll her sleeves up and lean into the legacy of the late Peta Murphy.

Labor reclaimed the seat of Dunkley on Saturday night despite a 3 per cent swing towards the Liberals.

“Thank you to the people of Dunkley for electing me into this role to represent you in Canberra,” Ms Belyea said.

“I am humbled by the opportunity to represent you in Federal Parliament.

“Whether you voted Labor, Liberal or independent – I will be a voice for the people of Dunkley.”
