US drone strike which killed civilians in Kabul a 'pretty serious mistake'

The Australian Financial Review’s Senior Correspondent Aaron Patrick says it was a “pretty serious mistake that’s happened,” after the Pentagon confirmed a US drone strike in Kabul claimed 10 civilian lives - including seven children.

“Also, US military just lied about it,” Mr Patrick told Sky News host Sharri Markson.

“They killed a family, they killed a man who had nothing to do with ISIS … he wasn’t an ISIS operative, he was working for an aid agency.”

“And then the military lied about it.”
