Roasted Turkey and Homemade Gravy.
This recipe used a 14.38 pound turkey.
Herb butter:
2 sticks softened butter
1 tablespoon each:
salt
pepper
sage
rosemary
paprika
onion powder
1 bottle Tony Chachere injection seasoning. Garlic and herb flavor.
I used fresh rosemary, sage and thyme inside cavity of turkey and on top of the vegetables to flavor the gravy.
I cooked this turkey 15 minutes per pound. 325 degrees
Disclaimer: For the gravy, I made a butter and flour roux. Although it was definitely a tasty gravy, I think next time I will make a flour/water roux to add to the drippings. Very tasty either way!
