#FMJSummit: What's it like to work in volunteer management?

Volunteers have long been at the heart of the museum sector, and behind every great volunteer team is a talented manager recruiting, training, motivating, and supporting them. Join our panel of volunteer managers for an interactive discussion about what it’s really like to work in this area: from the types of jobs available, to different career paths, to the ups and downs of daily working life. Wherever you are on your career journey, this session will provide an insightful behind-the-scenes look at the world of Volunteer Management and why it matters to the entire sector.

Panellists:
- Danielle Ash, Assistant Curator, Lancaster Arts (she/her)
- Holly Henry, Project Officer (Volunteering and Community Engagement), Florence Nightingale Museum (she/her)
- Caroline Chestnutt, The Courtauld (she/her )

Chaired by: Ashleigh Hibbins, Learning & Participation Consultant at The Audience Agency and Fair Museum Jobs Committee Member
