Dalton Man Recovering From Copperhead Bite
A Dalton man is recovering after being bitten by a copperhead.A neighbor came to David Locke asking for help. She'd run over a snake, and wanted to make sure it was dead. Locke followed, and when he went to check on the snake, it struck him on the hand.The neighbor drove him to Hamilton Medical Center, where he stayed until Saturday.He returned home, and when the pain started to worsen, he went to Erlanger.He's now recovering back at home.He's urging children and adults to stay away from all snakes, no matter the breed. He also suggests using a firearm if you come across a copperhead. By: Kelsey Bagwell
