2 Baby Seals Rescued By Kayakers

Denzil and Naude took to the kayaks again to patrol for entanglements at Pelican Point, Namibia.
On this particular rescue, they identified 2 different seal pups in need and planned their moves before exiting the boats.
Naude went for the closer, smaller seal and managed to secure him by hand. While busy, they again saw the young pup with one missing flipper! The pup was looking strong, and swam well which they were very excited about.
The seal was entangled is a thin but very strong piece of braided string, similar to the lines kitesurfers use.
Once done, he went to help Denzil who had secured the second pup in the net. This pup was slightly bigger, and had an old, frayed piece of plastic packaging strap around her neck. She had sustained a cut on the right side of her neck, but ran off strongly to make a full recovery. 🦭
