Seal Rescued From Brand New Plastic Packaging Strap

The entanglement must have happened very recently, the strap itself is very new and there is no sign of injury or even discomfort. For the seal, the rescue will just be a weird experience of being chased down by a bunch of human beings, the rescue net, and then the surprising release, when she probably expected much worse. There will not be a scar, and the rescuers will not be able to recognise this animal ever again. As easy and uncomplicated as this rescue seems, we never forget the fact that we could have easily missed this animal in the big crowd of thousands of others, and in a few weeks or even days, her situation would have worsened dramatically, simply because somebody, somewhere, felt that it is acceptable to let a loop of non-biodegradable plastic trash float in the ocean. 🦭
