Entangled Seal Almost Escapes Her Rescue

Denzil's eagle eyes save the day and the seal - the team had lost sight of their target, but Denzil spots her again at the very last moment. He races into the water and catches her a few split seconds before she would have been out of reach. Naude steps in with the net, and they can remove a loop of old cotton string from her neck and release her again.
We do not know where the rope originated. It could have fallen into the water from a fishing or container vessel, it could have found its way into the ocean from recreational beach goers - there are endless scenarios. None of them are okay, trash does not belong into the ocean.
