Lush - Sweetness And Light (bass cover)

It must be time for another Lush cover, this time Sweetness And Light from 1990, one of my all time favourites. The bassline is essentially the same riff all the way through holding the rhythm down with Chris Acland's beautiful percussive groove, laying down the foundation for Miki and Emma to jangle and shred their magic on top.

Here is the official video of the single edit: https://youtu.be/u7cqkpy4QrQ

Here is the 12" vinyl version that I played along to taken from my other youtube channel, The Hi-Fi Junglist: https://youtu.be/_CMlYSjmWmc

Next is a live version from 1991 with original bassist Steve Rippon: https://youtu.be/_hD3MQsXExA

And another performance from slightly later, this time with Phil King on bass: https://youtu.be/wQ6-rDez2Xo

Finally a session version from the short-lived reunion in 2016: https://youtu.be/BmRVQAqzOVQ
