How to Stir Fry Beef with Bitter Gourd
How to Stir Fry Beef with Bitter Gourd
I had the privilege of observing how my mum would stir fry her version of the family favourite dish — stir fry beef slices with bitter gourd. We love this dish so much that we practically have it once a week.
Mum does it her traditional way like some chefs in their Michelin-star restaurants do. As for me, I usually dump everything in and fill the wok with a lot more water than usual and let the juices of the beef and bitter gourd caramelise into a thick gravy.
The texture of the bitter gourd would be firm but softened and the beef slices tender. Delicious. Of course mummy’s version is just as good. 🙂
