WE LEFT LA FOR GOOD AND MY HUSBAND HAD A SURPRISE FOR ME! (he's weird.) lol

Man, I'm just realizing how important it is to document things... Whether it's writing it down, recording a voice note, video, IDC how you do it, but let me be real with you for a sec (or like 3 minutes but I promise it's worth it) to tell you why you should document things as well... Tori and I legit had the best road trip back to Florida. It was 14 days of pure amazingness. Most beautiful sites, getting outdoors was nuts because of being stuck inside, having quality time with loved ones and just adventuring without an agenda... that may sound like bragging but hang tight...

We got into our apartment and immediately got to work. It was if the entire roadtrip hadn't happened. We weren't giddy as if we just had an unforgettable trip across the country with horseback riding, being on the edges of cliffs, visiting world renown adventures and beanboozeled (just vlog one experiences, don't want to spoil anything for second video)! All of our good habits went out the door and we were checking our phones first thing in the morning (not recommended), not having devotional time, working on all day and even going to bed at different times because we had so much work to do...

When we sat down (or stood up) to film this video it was as the entire trip came rushing back into our brains and more importantly our hearts. If we hadn't made this VLOG (video-log for those who are my senior) we would have just let it pass and it would be a fond memory when it crossed our mind every few years or so. I thought about how special the trip was and wondered how could I just forget it? I mean a week and a half prior I was literally riding a horse on top of a cliff and it was as if it hadn't meant anything to me, all I cared about was something else. I wondered how often I do that? How often am I around someone and thinking about someone else? How often am I doing something and worried about something else? How often am I listening to someone and thinking about my reply? How often am I just worried about the future God has for me but I am not paying attention to what He was brought me through.

So thankful we made this vlog because without it, I wouldn't be as thankful for it and this trip wouldn't have changed me for the better. I would be the same person who just happens to have a few cool pictures to post on IG. Keeping track of things, and documenting how you felt during them helps so much because it can be so so so easy to get into the rat race (spinning wheel that leads nowhere) and feel like your "busy-ness" is a good thing when in fact it is keeping you the things God has for you and who He is calling you to be. I love the quote, "God loves you the way you are, but He also loves you too much to leave you like that." If we are not thinking about what is happening to and around us, good or bad, processing in a healthy way, and seeing how God is using the situation then we are just running around blindly hoping we do something of importance on accident. Okay, I'm getting off my soapbox. lol
