Woodturning - Scrap to a Utensil Holder

Hello everyone!
In this video, I made a utensil holder with a scrap of Zelkova wood and epoxy.

I put some gesso on the surface with dry brush to make strokes. After I painted black acrylic color on it, I sanded that surface to make it looking like milk painting effect.

The painted surface was covered with epoxy then I turn it to create soft curves for comfort use.
