Perfect side portrait with woodturning is possible?
If you can apply the inside out turning (split turning) method... Yes!

In this video I wanted to show how I create an asymmetric silhouette by inside out turning.
However, before I get started I had to recall a famous side face portrait first from my memory...
It was Abraham Lincoln!

In this video, I turned two inside out turning pieces;
first one(4 pieces) is for the front half of a portrait of Abraham Lincoln and another one(4 pieces) is for the back of it. After I finished turning work I rejoined that turned pieces to face each others.

Additionally, I made four oak frames with miter spline joints to put them in,
and printed Lincoln's famous saying;
"Government of the people, by the people, for the people."
